Visiting Carroll Shelby’s place in Vegas. Will post a video in a week or two of his museum.

Barrett-Jackson Concludes Today

This is it for my Barrett-Jackson adventure this year.  My feet are all tuckered out after having walked who knows how many miles at the auction.  Next auction will be the Mecum Auction in Indy during May.  At that one we will follow two cars as we run them across the block and post here.  At least one will be a TV car.

I hope you enjoyed us bringing you some Barrett-Jackson action live from Scottsdale this year.

They had the ZL1 at the auction on display.  I will say I was a little disappointed, I thought it would stand out more.  It was pretty plane Jane, but then again, so was the 1969 version, so I can’t complain too much.

Actually probably a smart move by chevy, but to make it more authentic, I would leave the hood plain and remove any ZL1 badges.  Make it a real sleeper in a plain wrapper so no one knows when the Camaro next to them might be a ZL1.  Just like the old days, but there will be more of them now, not just 69 of them like in 1969.

The ZL1 Hood - this is an option.

And here we see the actual ZL1 engine.

SPEED TV crew and camera’s ready to shoot.  Lots of nice scenery out here.
